Almost all Goldfish are totally unsuitable for bowls, or anything less than a 20 gallon tank, but I have found the one group that do quite nicely... of this group, there is even a VERY colorful variant... The link below will provide you all the info you need... Simply clean the bowl weekly to prevent mold... If you want to keep the bowl I agree with the plastic fish, would also add some plastic plants for that special effect. Seriously though, consider up-sizing the tank before selecting new fish. No fish deserves to live in a small bowl.
