The Caribbean resort is by far one of the most popular destinations for long holiday breaks and celebratory events. What most people do not know is that is also one of the most sought after areas for luxurious and lavish weddings that many couples would dream of having. Beach weddings are becoming more common, with many young couples opting to save the hassle of having to book for a honeymoon separate from the wedding celebration.

One of the main reasons why people choose the Caribbean resort is because of its guaranteed great weather at specific periods, relaxed atmosphere, friendly locals, exotic meals and food, and the great parties they organise on the beach at the end of the ceremony. Nothing can be more memorable than having your day of celebration a day for everyone to enjoy and talk about after. There are a few things that all couples looking to get married must consider before choosing to marry abroad.

1. How much are they willing to spend on their wedding if they are to get married abroad?

2. What is their realistic budget for a wedding abroad after calculating all possible costs?

3. How far in advance would they need to send out invites to guests, bearing in mind that many of the guests may not be able to afford to travel at short notice?

4. Are there any package deals they could opt for, such as getting a discount on hotel accommodation or catering?

5. Are there any terms or conditions they would need to adhere to, such as customary activities that may not be allowed in the area?

6. How long will the event take place and will there be live music entertainment?

The above points are just a few of the general questions that will arise for most couples if they do decide to move abroad for a wedding. As most married people will know, organising a wedding can be fun but also very stressful if either one of the couple have had very little experience in pulling together a big event such as this one. There is more pressure on the couple to make sure that the day is next-to-perfect as possible, because it is one that they never want to forget in a positive way.

The Caribbean resort is not the only resort that is chosen for glorious beach weddings, other destinations such as Mexico, Thailand, Barbados, India and many more have been dubbed to offer a romantic and calm setting. It is a fact that beach weddings a top at the list for holding a ceremony, which many would agree usually takes place at sunset because of the impressive backdrop.

The idea that people can relax by the calming sea and enjoy an even more relaxed party after is more appealing than being sat on hard wooden benches in a cold church for a prolonged period. Those who can afford it would much prefer a wedding that would incorporate a shared holiday experience and doubles up as a honeymoon. Some may find that they will spend less than ten thousand pounds on a wedding abroad, because of the cheaper facilities offered and they can use the wedding destination as a honeymoon (depending on the location).

Who has gone to the Caribbean on Vacation?

Is it better to go all-inclusive or just get a flight, hotel and pay as you go for things? Aruba, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Curacao which one is better? How is it down there during New Years?

There are all-inclusive hotels that are great.
Always call the tourist board and ask them for brochures, look at them then go to a travel agent who specializes in the Caribbean

However, if you are adventurous, you can prepay for a hotel food plan with just breakfast (European Plan), or breakfast and dinner.The other two are Modified American Plan and the American Plan. A travel agent can help you decide. Then you can try different local restaurants.

But you should always get a package together AIR and HOTEL. Whether you stay in an all-inclusive hotel or a hotel with a different meal plan. The reason is it will work out much cheaper than you paying separately for the hotel (per night hotels in the Caribbean are very expensive).
Grand Cayman small and lovely for people who love to fish. You can circle the island in part of an afternoon. I love the Cayman Islands.

Jamaica, Montego Bay lots of tourist and things to do but much more crowded than Ocho Rios or Negril, quieter but more isolated . Ocho Rios is my favourite. A variety of hotels.

If you go to an all-inclusive, try and see some of the island you are visiting in the daytime.

I don’t want to comment on Aruba, and I’ve never been to Curacao.

Highest (most expensive) season is the Winter season, because the rich can afford to escape to the Caribbean then.
